Scrapshotz Crop - Family Games Night!

What a fun crop we had over at Scrapshotz this weekend! The theme was Family Games Night and there were tons of great games and challenges to play with!

I posted a layout challenge with the theme of Family Feud. Here is my sample layout:
My non-layout challenge was a card project, and I used the game Perfection as the inspiration for it. Like the game, crop participants had a time limit to finish! Great fun, and everyone got at least most of the card done in 15 minutes!
Later this week I'll post my completed projects from the crop! TFL! Have a great week!

May Reveal at Scrapshotz

It was my second month as Guest Design Team at Scrapshotz, and this time we did a full reveal. We chose our product from the great selection of new products in the store, and had some fun!

I thought that the Graphic 45 - A Proper Gentleman line would make nice manly cards, but really I had no idea. The images are perfect for men and beg to be showcased on cards! I could have went on and on with these cards, but thought I should try to do something else, too! LOL! These are all done using 3 sheets of patterned paper, and I have plenty left for a bunch more cards!

The next product line I worked with was the Bella Blvd Estate Sale. I love the muted blues and browns in this! I cut the scalloped circle out by hand (I traced a Pink Paislee pp!) It is a really easy line to work with, too.

Then I dug into the Pink Paislee - 365 Degrees Collection. How much fun are all the goodies in this line???? Great colors and great patterns, too. For this layout I used patterned paper piece for the background and layer, then some of the delicious cork buttons in the line. I love the texture they give it!
This layout is also using the Pink Paislee - 365 Degrees Collection. It doesn't even look like the same collection, does it? I wonder if that's where the name comes from? Laughing I used a strip border and a flip note on this. they are so nice to use, as it didn't need anything else.
Finally, I wanted to make a card with the scraps and I just happened to have this image colored in the perfect shade of blue! I can think of a few girls that could be the recipient of this one.

Thanks for looking! Have a great weekend and a Happy Mother's Day to everyone!

A HB Card

This card was made with Webster's Pages "Postcards from Paris" line of 6x6 paper. I love the paper and it lends itself easily to fancier, more elaborate cards.
Thanks for looking! Have a great day!

Photo Strip Challenge

The challenge (by Jess) was to use a photo strip. I just happened to have some from a photo booth in the Andy Warhol Factory museum in Kitchener. I used a program cover from the museum and some hand-outs. The layers of cardstock were inspired by the artwork in the museum. So much of it had great depth and made you think outside the box. I really enjoyed our time there, and doing the page, too! Thanks for stopping by!

Mid Month Reveal at Scrapshotz

This time, I worked with the TPC Studio - Mediterranean Summer line. Such vibrant colors - perfect for a beach sunset! The fabric brads that come with this line are self adhesive and super easy to use!
This one is of dh's big fish. (I knew I loved that orange shirt on him! LOL!) I wanted to let the pattern of the paper shine through, so left a big chunk of it open. The sparkly geometric strip is a rub on from this line, as is the word tag! The cb alphas weren't quite the right color of blue, so I outlined them with the Clearsnap Smooch (Ocean Soul.)
This pic of GS#2 was perfect for the fun patterns in this paper! I layered it on craft and fussy cut some of the elements out for accents. The flourishes loved the Clearsnap Smooch, and are pretty sparkly.
With scraps left on my table I made up some cards. I love these happy colors!
For this card I die cut an image with the nestabilities that I had already colored. The ribbon is silk and the cardstock is bling. Thanks for stopping by! :)

April Layout Tag

I always enjoy a layout tag, and this one was no exception. I was tagged by Rebecca and this is what I came up with.
I used the March Scrapshotz kit, featuring Glitz Distressed Couture paper, Glitz Red Teeny Block Alpha Stickers and Glitz Flower stamp. The kit also included the scalloped Bazzill cardstock I used here. The journaling spot (Maya Road) and the title letters (American Crafts Thickers) both are out of my stash.

It's a cool, damp day. A perfect scrapbooking evening is coming up! Thanks for looking and have a good one!

Blog Update and a Reveal!

I gave the blog a makeover! What do you think?

Here's a few layouts that I recently did for my April 1st Scrapshotz reveal, using the new Bo Bunny Mammarazzi line. I just love the colors and the grunginess of this paper.
I made a card with some leftover scraps.
