For the Boys!

High Hopes Challenge #30 is "One for the Boys!" and I have this great HH image that is perfect for it! I colored it with watercolor crayons and cut out the mats with the Nestabilities Large Inverted Scallop Squares. The inverted scallops remind me of waves, so it was a good fit!

Card Crew Color Challenge

This is the paint color card that I used for inspiration for this week's challenge.
I stamped this image with my Year of Flowers stamps from Gina K. Designs. I need to experiment with this some more, but it was fun creating the bouquet! It is colored with Copics then cut out.
I liked how this simple card showcases the color combination.
This card has a lot of texture, thanks to the Cuttlebug embossing folders. It's going to be a busy week, getting ready to go to Scrapfest in Kitchener this weekend! I can hardly wait!

Happy Easter!

I made this card for a recent swap at Scrapshotz. I used my nestabilities die cuts and colored my High Hopes stamp with Copic markers. The bling is Prima and the ribbon is from my stash.

I pretty much used up the entire March Scrapshotz kit of BG Marrakech. It is such versatile paper!I had some scraps left, so made up some cards with them.
My goodness, it felt really good to be scrapping again!

Have a great Easter, and make sure to let your family and friends how important they are to you!

Welcome to the World Record Blog Hop!!!

Welcome to the HOP and to my blog! This is a card I made this week with Unity stamps!

Card Ingredients: 80# matte cardstock, Bazzill Basics cardstock, Crate Paper patterned paper (Static Collection), Ranger Archival Ink (Jet Black), Unity Stamps (October/November KOTM), Basic Grey glazed brad, Copic Sketch markers, Nestabilities (Sml Classic Oval, Sml Scalloped Oval), Close to My Heart liquid glass, misc. twill ribbon and machine stitching.

This is a favorite quote:

"Perhaps, after all, our best thoughts come when we are alone. It is good to listen, not to voices but to the wind blowing, to the brook running cool over polished stones, to bees drowsy with the weight of pollen. If we attend to the music of the earth, we reach serenity. And then, in some unexplained way, we share it with others." Gladys Taber

Keep It Simple Card Challenge

I was asked to be part of a new "Card Crew" at Scrapshotz. Thanks for the invitation, girls! I'm honored. I posted my first challenge today, and it will hopefully inspire some simple, easy to mail cards! This is the example I posted. I used Basic Grey patterned paper, the butterfly and sentiment are Rhonna Farrer rub ons, Stampendous bling stickers and Colorbox chalk ink.

This morning...

I woke up to a cold, miserable, rainy day. So I prayed for the strength to get up, get dressed and run five miles. Then I rolled over and went back to sleep. I had prayed for strength but received wisdom instead. Anonymous

Love that quote. LOL! Here's a card I made last week for a card tag at Scrapshotz.
