December Daily - 1

This year I used Simple Stories 25 Days of Christmas (a wonderful Scrapshotz kit!) and My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Christmas lines. They play together pretty well! The SS has the perfect date stickers, journaling cards and festive patterns, and I am totally awestruck by the beautiful glitter and embellishments in the MME. I have my album ready, so hope that I can keep up! As long as there are photos being taken, I am not going to worry about it. I don't want to make my December Daily another 'job' that has to be done. It's becoming a favorite tradition. Here we go!

Scrapshotz November Kit Reveal

The Scrapshotz kit was the totally fabulous Simple Stories line - 25 days of Christmas! I love the rich colors and the variety of designs that almost made themselves into lovely cards all by themselves! I doubled up on the patterned paper so I have plenty to use for my December Daily, which I promise to share! If you want homemade easy for your cards, look to this line! The sentiments are from an Authentique Christmas Diction sheet.








This is a gift box for cards! I used a sheet of acetate for the lid so decorating the box was not necessary! These cards were done with the cute little Unity stamp that came with the kit. Easy-peasy!And just for fun, a heritage layout of myself from 1959. Forever ago! And a gorgeous photo of Jett at 1 month. The houndstooth pattern was a great match to the basket he slept in!

October Scrapshotz Reveal

The October kit was made up of SEI Homestead. What a gorgeous line! Every page of patterned paper was foiled. Wonderful stuff to work with!

We had a summer kit this year, filled with the bright and happy Jillibean Soup Watermelon Gazpacho line. It was really fun to work with! Here are the layouts I created for the reveal on July 15.

June/July/August Tag Layouts

June Layout Tag at Scrapshotz. Scrapped some fun photos of Jett with the Bo Bunny Ad Lib line.
July tag was done with quiet photos taken of "Our Paradise" in Puerto Vallarta, using Fancy Pants - Beach Bum patterned paper and journaling spots, with some washi tape for interest.

For August's Layout tag, I used a very fresh photo of Art and Brey that was taken just a couple of days ago on the boat. The page uses Echo Park - Splash - patterned paper and fish stickers, AC Thickers (brown,) an older title transparency from MME and some ancient fish brads that I was lucky enough to find in my stash. (I knew they were there somewhere!)

May 2011 SSZ Reveal

The May Scrapshotz kit was the beautiful SEI Couture line. The gorgeous pastels and flowers in this line begged for girlie layouts, so I asked my friend Karen if I could do some layouts with photos of her granddaughter. They turned out very well!

April 2011 - JMK

Melissa's DT Challenge at Scrapshotz was to put hidden journaling on your layout. I used a Maya Road envelope to put this journaling in:

"June 15 - 21, 2010. Jett. You were early, anxious to make your way in the world. A month early, in fact. Born with a preemie condition called "wet lung," you were having trouble getting enough air. My first look at you was frightening, your face was so blue. You were sent by air to Edmonton to the NICU, where you could be fed by tube and monitored closely. You stayed a week before you were able to come home, and you were constantly in our prayers. Love you so much, baby boy!"
