A few fishing layouts and a card

Hi all! It's been a while since I've posted to my blog. I've been out there taking pics and living the good life. We spent almost 2 weeks at Mirond Lake and had a wonderful vacation. It feels pretty great to get back to the scrapbook room, though! Here are some fishing layouts that I've recently completed. I've a few more yet to do!

I actually took a few images and my copics with me to the lake and when it was quiet I was coloring. What a relaxing diversion! And it's so nice to have some pre-colored images on hand for those cards that you need in-a-hurry!

Dh and sil took gson #1 fishing in July! He was so excited to go, but I think the bigger boys were just as excited to take him! I was proud of them for taking the great photos that they did. Thanks, guys!

ScrapShotz Industry Insider Crop - Wow!

I totally got into the theme of this crop. The CT over at SSZ posted some very inspiring challenges that got me using some of my often neglected supplies! Here are some of my projects. (There are quite a few!)

This card was for my challenge - Queen & Co.
This card was made using Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. Here's my layout using one of my favorite manufacturers, American Crafts. This butterfly layout uses Doodlebug Designs paper. This card was masked with a Tim Holtz mask and inked with Ranger Distress Ink. One of my favorites! Here's some Fancy Pants patterned paper, and a layout about pants, too! LOL! Good one, Jess! This is a basic layout using Basic Grey patterned paper and embellishments.

For the Boys!

High Hopes Challenge #30 is "One for the Boys!" and I have this great HH image that is perfect for it! I colored it with watercolor crayons and cut out the mats with the Nestabilities Large Inverted Scallop Squares. The inverted scallops remind me of waves, so it was a good fit!

Card Crew Color Challenge

This is the paint color card that I used for inspiration for this week's challenge.
I stamped this image with my Year of Flowers stamps from Gina K. Designs. I need to experiment with this some more, but it was fun creating the bouquet! It is colored with Copics then cut out.
I liked how this simple card showcases the color combination.
This card has a lot of texture, thanks to the Cuttlebug embossing folders. It's going to be a busy week, getting ready to go to Scrapfest in Kitchener this weekend! I can hardly wait!

Happy Easter!

I made this card for a recent swap at Scrapshotz. I used my nestabilities die cuts and colored my High Hopes stamp with Copic markers. The bling is Prima and the ribbon is from my stash.

I pretty much used up the entire March Scrapshotz kit of BG Marrakech. It is such versatile paper!I had some scraps left, so made up some cards with them.
My goodness, it felt really good to be scrapping again!

Have a great Easter, and make sure to let your family and friends how important they are to you!
